Relationships is a major foundational Pillar in Faith Chapel. We should aspire, as a church, therefore to become a model of what Christian relationship should be. Faith Chapel Network. Network is a relationship word. Connecting is also a relationship word. The Mandate for Faith Chapel includes – “ tend, love, care the flock of God and establish True Fellowship…”. We must build according to pattern! The Holy Spirit in us is the The Spirit of Wisdom (James 3:13-16). The Holy Spirit is also The Spirit of Love (2 Tim 1:7). We need to rely on His Understanding on what it takes to Connect or Relate with one another in the Spirit of Love. It is what makes us stand out as believers in Christ and it is a key factor n Supernatural Church Growth! (John 13:34 & Acts 2:42-47).

Love (Agape) is not a feeling – it is a virtue. Loving is a Decision of Virtue. However, it is expressed through feelings and emotions, which are parts of our soul. (Man is a spirit, has a soul and lives in a body. The soul consists of the mind, will and feelings (& emotions).

Emotional Intelligence is about knowing, being aware and having a useful understanding of our own feelings, and the feelings of others and how feelings interact in the normal course of human relationships, and how best to maximize the benefits of this awareness. Emotional Intelligence is Your ability to know yourself well, enough about how you feel, and be able to manage yourself as you understand the effect your feelings, words and actions have on others. It also demands that you are able to understand others around you enough to be able to relate positively with them, for mutual and common good and benefits.  Jesus taught widely on this subject of relationship management. e.g. see Matt 5:1-48, Luke 11:5-8, Matt 18:23-33, Matt 25:14-26 Luke 11:11-17, 18-24 vs Luke 11:25-32.

Therefore, Connecting With Understanding - based on scriptural precepts (BIBLICAL RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT is what True Fellowship of believers is all about. It is our ability to use our awareness and those of others to manage interactions successfully. The Scriptural Foundation is AGAPE - THE LOVE OF GOD IS US!!

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud. Love is not rude, is not selfish, and does not get upset with others. Love does not count up wrongs that have been done. Love takes no pleasure in evil but rejoices over the truth. Love patiently accepts all things. It always trusts, always hopes, and always endures. Love never ends. There are gifts of prophecy, but they will be ended. There are gifts of speaking in different languages, but those gifts will stop. There is the gift of knowledge, but it will come to an end....So these three things continue forever: faith, hope, and love. And the greatest of these is love. (1 Corinthians 13:4-13)
